    Hi,
I have just received a letter from Lloyds Bank regarding my old Trustcard account. It states that they are cancelling my debt due to them updating their system and they are unable to amalgamate the old account to the new system. They state that I don’t need to do anything, the collection agency involved will be contacted and advised that they will no longer pursue me for the outstanding amount, and my direct debit will be cancelled.
My question is what happens to the attachment to my property that they secured in 2010? Will this be cancelled also?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The only way to find out what Lloyds are doing about the charge on your property is to ask them.

Write to them (by Royal Mail and get a Proof of Posting) and say that in view of their letter you assume that the charge on your property will be removed by Lloyds so can they confirm that is what they are doing and then confirm to you when it has been completed.
All opinions expressed are based on my personal experience. I am not a lawyer and do not hold any legal qualifications.
