  • Engage credit fees

My latest account statement for my mortgage shows I have over £17000 in fees applied.

how can this even be legal the amount they are charging monthly is ridiculous making it impossible to clear before completion of the mortgage.

can they charge these really high fees?

is there a way to get them removed as they surely cannot be allowed to charge such high fees on the account.

    any help much appreciated

Send Engage a Subject Access Request, they have 30 days to provide all the data on the account. Make sure you get Proof of Postage.

Once you have that information and a better understanding of how they have arrived at that figure.

Lodge a Formal Complaint in writing, follow the complaints procedure on their website.

If your still not happy once you've received their 'final decision', then lodge a complaint with the FOS.
