  • Warrant of control issues

Hi all I've got a crazy situation regarding numerous warrant of control orders it all started during the first lockdown of 2020 I was in a very difficult financial situation so had to make a choice of paying my council tax or buying food for my two sons of which I am the sole carer, so after making the obvious decision I was then sent a warrant of control order so all my possessions including my two vehicles were therefore no longer mine..
Over r the last 5 years I've faced financial difficulties mostly caused by the lockdowns and now have had several Warrant of control orders so haven't been able to sell or just get rid of 4 work vans (I'm a general builder)that no longer work and 1 people carrier so I now have 5 broken down vehicles parked up in my front garden !! Oh how I wish I could get rid of them..but as they are no longer technically mine I can't get rid of them but at the same time no one ever comes to take them away !! I'm at my wits end with all these broken down vehicles on my front garden that I can't get rid of, is there anything I can do to get rid of them please ?

I do not understand the position regarding these vehicles that you are unable to sell but which are no longer "technically" yours. Perhaps you can issue notices under the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1997 to the "technical" owners to remove them. If they fail to do so you may be able to sell them, for scrap if need be.

Have you sought debt advice from Citizens Advice?
