  • Orbit Energy - agreed full and final, lost paperwork - being chased

    Hello All.

I had an old energy account with orbit at the old house, there was a computer error on file which Orbit Adminstations agreed back in 2021 there was, time went on back and forth with the disagreement on the final pay of £900.00 even though i give them meter reading that wasnt used correctly.

so it got past over to Thebsbco who agreed a full and final payment, this was agreed in november 2022 and i have the receipt details on my back statement.

at the time i did get an email with the balance closed; full and final settlement agreed.

This year has been a dreadfull year of health for myself and my wife and ive miss placed the full and final settlement.

but funny enough ive got AIC chasing the debt, its on hold untill i can prove, i sent them the half statement but there chasing the 450 remaining,
so it looks like they have takening what i paid off, and then the debts been sold to a sibling firm of AIC, something called PERRY.

i didnt know i lost the paper work untill obvious im in need of it.

ive rang Thebsbco who gave me an email to ask for the paper work, all i get is this:

    Good Afternoon,

We no longer act on behalf of the administrators of Orbit energy.

is there a template i can demand to get them to show corrospondance because obvious i have a receipt in my back of payment to them, i got old chasing emails from them, and by law they need to keep certain details on file.

so obvious they will have the email they sent me.

much help would be very kind, thank you.

PS: Defo should of kept it, silly me. but accidents happen.

Send them a SAR, they should hold data for the last 6 years, they have 30 days to respond. Make sure you get Proof of Postage.

Thank you very much, the company chasing (ACI) wanted a copy of the email i sent to (BSCO) so they put the acount on hold for 7 days, then after 7 days i emailed them saying the other firm has 30 days and im still not heard out., ACI has agreed to wipe the debt off on the 27th, just a random email no details why. and ive got written notice of a ZERO balance.

so thats very postive from ACI, clearly ACI knowing full well its a worthless chase.

but this BSCO firm has not responded to the SAR, the email address i sent it to has responded previous when they said: we are not acting for orbit now.

is it worth chasing this further if they dont respond in 30days or just leave it; which is 4 days left.

Well done, great result. Really up to you, if it isn't 'burdensome' then get the info, always good to have.
