Hi, just looking through the paperwork that newday sent me, They sold my debt to asset link in july 2017.
My query is no default letter issued to me when it was sold.
Ihave got a default letter issued by link in january 2023, surely, the default should have been issued by new day, or am i barking up the wrong tree.
regards to you all for any help.

I am not an expert in this area but believe I am correct in saying, if the original debt has been sold to Link then any correspondence about this will come from them now.
If you would like a one-to-one expert consultation with me on your employment issue than I can be contacted by emailing admin@legalbeaglesgroup.com

I do not provide advice by PM although I may on occasion ask you to send me documents this way but any related advice will be provided back on your thread.

I do my best to provide good practical advice, however I do so without liability.
If you have any doubts then do please seek professional legal advice.

Should i contact newdayand ask them to put a default from 2017? i was under the impression that debt needed a default to sell to debt collector.

The terms and conditions of the account will state when you will be defaulted.
Normally, it's after 3 missed payments, but it will depend on the circumstances at the time. Send them a Subject Access Request.

Find out, whose done what before you do anything. I'm not sure Creditors, DCA's etc take requests as such.
