charging order

Hi .
My uncle has a charging order on his house for the amount of £7200 - he is now in a position to repay part of it ,is there any sort of reduced amount the company would accept ( he is thinking of offering £2000 as a final settlement figure .The order has been in place 8 years and he never seems to get any correspondance of them .Just wondering what sort of percentage would be acceptable to them .

The creditor is likely to look at the available equity in the property. If it is sufficient to clear the debt in full, the creditor may need a good deal of persuasion to accept less. You can but ask.
