summons costs ? Council Tax

Hi I have a summons for non payment of council tax. I don't dispute the council tax portion of the bill/summons .The court date is early march.

Do i have to pay the summons costs?

Yes as these are costs to take you to court to get a liability order so they can secure repayment - If you offer a payment plan before the court date it will be straight forward and saves them going for attachment of earnings which they can take 20% - Easier to just make an arrangement prior and the summons cost isnt that much - You can avoid the summons if paid in full before
