Years since I heard about some debts I had at a very difficult time.
there has been an explosion of contact recently.
Some are statute barred and some not.
But why this sudden explosion in activity?
Years ago (back in 2002) I had a NW loan. My marriage broke down, it became a CCJ which I paid every month and am assuming it was w eventually paid off
. I even counted down the final six months and was overjoyed to finally finish it.
Today I’ve had a bloody letter AND phone call about it no they reckon I owe £2,700 .
Right at this moment…
I am about to lose all child related benefits which top up my salary.
my son is disabled and my husband is carer so we are reliant on one wage.
Energy costs are about to go through the bloody roof.
I literally have no idea what spare income we will have come November when I have to reorganise my gas/electricity bill.
And these f***ers are chasing me for a 20yr old debt!
Add in Lowell who are trying to get a CCJ on debts just about to expire and I am pretty much done in with it all.
I walked away from the debts…..I get it, I am not proud of that but it was a bloody awful time and I had to prioritise the essential bills.
Am just amazed at how many letters I am getting suddenly when I have not heard anything for years! They can all get in the sea….I haven’t got any spare cash, I don’t know how we are going to heat the house in winter his year…it will be eat or heat but not both. …and these DCAs are suddenly making contact out of the blue.
Time to write some statute barred letters and send it to them with a tube of KY jelly to ease the insertion!
