  • Bills of Exchange Act ?

Hi everyone. Has any one heard of or have knowledge of the " Bills of Exchange Act 1882 ". Section 23 paragraph 1 which quotes as follows. Signature essential for liability. No person is liabel, endorsor or acceptor of a bill that's not signed as such. I came across this on Alan Dalys you tube channel he is a guy who gives advice regarding debt collection firms such as Lowells etc. Has anyone actually used this tact as a form of defence when dealing with such companies?. Many thanks
