  • Problems with NCO/Arrow Global

Hi I’m a newbie looking for some advice please

i opened a credit account with Shop Direct Very in 2000 I had no problems making repayments until approx 2010 (I am sure a default was issued but can’t find paperwork). The debt was sold to NCO/Arrow 2013

i entered into a DMP with Stepchange in July 2011 & have been making regular payments to them since until 2019 when my income dropped & had to make reduced payments & they are now marking late payments on my credit file because I am not making the full contractual payments.
I have spoken to NCO & Arrow & they say the debt has not been defaulted with them. I made an official complaint re late payment markers on credit file & my complaint has not been upheld

Stepchange have said that the debt should definitely have been defaulted when Arrow bought the debt
i feel this is such an unfair position to be in as my credit file is worse now than if I had made no payments at all rather than paying them off. All my other debt have dropped off my file & I am still making payments to them

Can anyone please give some advice as to what I can do next... I am still continuing to make payments
    thanks

similar thing has happened to myself only I was with Vanquis. They defaulted my debt back in 2019 yet arrow defaulted it in march this year so my credit file is a mess..... I have raised a dispute with transunion and intend to report to FCA/ICO as well as arrow to amend or remove the false information. I have all my paperwork from Vanquis from a SAR request. Might be an idea to do that so you have all the paperwork to refer to from Very .
    Hope this helps

Thanks for your help. I have done as you suggested & made a SAR request to both Arrow Global & NCO. I have also been in touch with the FOS & explained the situation. I have to wait now for a case investigator to get in touch with me which could take up to 4 months to discuss take this further. I will report back when I have any news in case it could help anyone else
