  • DSO letter or phone?

    Hi,

I'm in a DMP with a company you have to pay a fee to (I know, I know - desperation and being scared does crazy things). My parents want to help me get out of it and are giving me money to offer full and final settlements with the creditors.

I'm going to DIY it as I don't want to pay the fee to the DMC. However they've advised I phone the creditors to give my offer.. but everything I've seen online says to send it in writing. I want to get this done asap but also correctly and honestly, I don't trust the dmc to have my best interest.

So thought I'd ask here! Thanks in advance.

Also to add.. I know any agreed offers need to be in writing before money is sent.
