Good morning I’m in the process of sorting out some financial issues with various creditors and could do with some advice with this one to start with.
Bought a sofa on finance with Sofoligy financed with V12 finance. At the time of application I’d recently moved house and finance failed to go through at new address. Agent I spoke with advised to put through using old address and then to change address after wards as there was a I think couple of month delivery wait. I did this and all went through, I was asked to pop into a Sofoligy store and change my address which I did taking in ID etc.
Now fast forward a couple of years and I’d fallen behind with payments although had no contact from them. I carried on putting off the issue until I realised I’d been defaulted by them. I rang V12 and was told it was to late and that all correspondence had gone to the old address!!
the women on the phone wasn’t very helpful and told me it had been passed to debt managers for collection. I have since had texts from them to contact them but am unsure how to proceed.
So as I didn’t receive the default notice is there anything I can do??
