  • Settlement figure for ending a loan early

    Hi everyone - Asked for a settlement figure from a loan company & I believe it's excessively high. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *Asked them to explain how they worked out the figure on February 20th & still waiting. I've paid £4K of the £5k they say I owe in the meantime. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * I have 2 issues, I have to pay the balance on the 20th or I'll be at a disadvantage financially, all because of their tardiness & haven't a clue how to work the figure out, using the formula as laid down in the Early Settlemnt Regulations. If I can't get help to check the figure is correct, * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * I was thinking of paying what they SAY I owe & then claim back the overpayment if proven. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If it turns out that I have overpaid, I was also going to state that until my overpayment is returned, that my daily interest rates are exactly the same as theirs & will be applied daily - as they do - until,payment is received? Any help and guidance will be greatly appreciated.
