hello I have been having a dispute with a plant hire company - , I hired a digger through my limited company and paid all hire costs each week through my business bank account , then I ran out of money they came and collected it , charged me for loads of damage totalling £6k , there was damage but not to that extent! . I said no chance am I paying that your trying it on and then 2 days later had an email saying he would take £3000 to settle I didn’t have 3k so said no .
long story short he said if I didn’t pay it he will chase me personally I laughed and put the phone down .

he Had a agency mitigator Chase me I told them that’s he’s scamming me and can’t put it into my name I’ll see him I’m court , they asked them for the phone calls where he said that as they were recorded and he apparently couldn’t find them .*

anyway got a court letter in my name , I asked for 2 weeks to extend and never got confirmation of email or extension received then totally forgot to do anything within the 14 days extra and all of a sudden I got a high court rit now in my name .*

is there anything I can do as just received the rit and haven’t called yet or responded .?*

    thanks lee*

So you did nothing to comply with the court claim within the required time, and the court do not issue reminders, then you will have a hard time getting it set aside.
