  • Lowell: Notice of county court judgment arrears

I received this letter today. However after checking my credit report online apparently I have no CCJ's against my name. I owe this money in my opinion unfairly. Is this letter just a threat or is there something to be worried about here? I want to avoid a CCJ

Apparently there is a CCJ against your name - may be a few years old possibly - as nothing has been paid towards it they are looking to enforce it, You say you have checked online - is that against your credit file and have you checked Registry Trust?

I signed up to a credit report website and got my credit report. How would I use registry trust to find this information?

With a Credit Report site make sure you not being lured into paying after the "free" period expires, there are totally free ones. As for Registry Trust you need to sign up and pay for a search £4 or £6 I believe, if however the CCJ is more than 6 years then it won't show.
