    Inheritance and debt

    Me and my partner have been separated 2 years, we have joint debts which I have already paid her 8K (my half is about 40k).

    I was due to inherit a large sum of money, but have decided not to due to family arguments.

    my ex partner seems to think she has a right to some of this money. I am not going to inherit anything, so I don’t see how she can have a claim on it.

    we were married under 2 years and have now been separated over 2, but not officially divorced.

    any help would be great!!
