Hello, My partner has recently been made redundant and we’re both concerned about money and can’t cover all bills on my salary alone. While organising some paperwork I found three admittance notes from a company called Optimum Credit totalling nearly £19000. Apparently the company is a second charge mortgage provider. Does this mean he’s taken out a second mortgage? He’s currently the only one on the mortgage so I have no way of knowing and wanted more information before talking to him about it.

Apologies, that’s supposed to read remittance not admittance - thanks

You need to download the land registry entry for the property - that will tell you whether there is a charge on the property
