1 Should I carry on paying DMP after 15 year , could it reappear on my credit file ?

Hi hoping I can get some advice please! I’ve been on a dmp through Stepchange since 2009 (15 years) I pay 6 DCA £5 each per month - initial total debt was £25000 - balance is now £19500.

i need to get my mortgage on repayment and extend the term and after speaking to a financial advisor in depth he said ideally I need to either do a f & f or potentially stop paying it to increase my chances of getting a good deal . My credit file is excellent 976 Experian . I’ve been through it with a fine tooth comb and can’t find anything negative on it. My question is - if I ask all DCA for proof of CCA and they come back with none so accounts are unenforceable and I decide to cancel the DMP and stop paying , can any of these appear back on my credit file ? All these credit card debt agreements were before 2007. DCA in play are NCO , Lowell , Link and Wescot . Would appreciate any advice

At some point you Defaulted on these debts and they appeared on your credit file for 6 years, then 'dropped off'. So they shouldn't reappear. Send the CCA requests, go through what they send, see if they are complaint.
