the main lender have not told us anything since they took the keys
THis has been niggling at me since I first read the thread, was the house in negative equity with the primary lender? were there penalty charges on teh mortgage, can you not send an SAR to see the state of play on this account too? I just find it really strange, if they sold the house for exactly the outstanding balance (which I know they do) they could still owe you money in charges?

Is this worth looking into too? not being nosey, just seems very convenient for them.

I was thinking of going down that road, as it seems awfully convenient that their debt has been satisfied. This site had really fired me up to make these barstewards pay for the depression and sheer hell they put us through, especially last year when I was going through a painful and risky pregnancy, they still kicked us out weeks before my due date. I have a stack of creditors who will feel my wrath, watch this space........

        Hello Jet Black,

I am so glad that you know feel angry and want to make them pay what they have taken that they should not have.

I truely know how you feel. My Creditors made my life hell and I felt so worthless, but once you join this site and read what others put up with and have success, it empowers you.

Why do you think I chose my username. Hellhasnofury like me

I am determined to have the last say with them all.

I too have been and still am in some debt trouble. We are slowly but surely digging our way out. Thats why I love looking after the Debt thread, I just wan't to help as much as possible, using the experience that I have gained along the way.
I am at the moment looking into claiming back charges that have been applied to 2 old mortgages (although I do understand that ERC's are still risky at the moment). I will post any findings as and when I get them.

Please feel free to shout if you need any help at all.

Quick update, after checking my files, the account number quoted by DMS is not ours Ha ha! I have written to them gleefully pointing this out. I have also prepared letters for Nemo, I'm hoping I will be able to deal with them directly. I'll keep you posted folks

Sapphire, I am finding the Debt threads really useful, you'll be hearing a lot more from me, as I have a lot to sort out. There's plenty to get our teeth into

              Hello and well done,

You are about to get the ball rolling

Once you start to question it is amazing how empowered you become. There may be a one or two you won't win, but unless you try you will never know. There are many you will win, because you will be more educated in their devious tactics and will be able to catch them out.

When I started in this battle. I was ignorant and knew nothing. Would have hung my head in shame and accepted the punishment they issued. But not now.

              I am truely liberated

Best of luck to you and keep us posted. Do not be scared by them or intimidated and don't believe anything they tell you till you have posted on here for advice

We are all in this together

                Re: need some advice

Sorry it's been a while since I last posted, I've had tgerrible depression and had virtually given up on everything, all because of scum like these. Now it would seem that the mortgage lender who repossessed the property my have acted inappropriately.
