Apologies if I've posted this in the wrong forum. I've got a Halifax CC with a £2K limit that I've been struggling to pay off with minimum monthly payments for the last 4/5 years. I sent them a CCA request a good couple of months ago then forgot all about it (not good, I know). I've received a letter today telling me that they've placed a default against this account now and that they want almost £2,500 to settle the account in full.
What's the best way forward to sort this out please? I haven't got a cat in hells chance of finding £2.5K - we're up the financial creek without a paddle at the moment.
Should I send them a new CCA request or send an SAR? I honestly don't know what to do for the best with this account.
Thanks in advance.
