  • Goldfish and 1st credit

I had a credit card with goldfish and sent them a cca request well over th 12+2+30 days, sent special delivery and recieved, but no reply whatsoever not even the usual it may take longer blah blah blah letter.
Next i recieved a letter telling me that the debt had been sold to 1st credit, sent the famous curlyben letter account in dispute etc to which i had a reply from 1st credit saying please ring this office number.
Now what can i send from here? they seemed to tried to sidestep the fact that the account is in dispute and that goldfish as good as ignored my CCA request? any help appreciated thanks.

    Re: Goldfish and 1st credit

    Hi Excel and welcome :okay:

perhaps you could post a little more info and details of your position with Goldfish, and your reasons for sending the CCA letter in the first place.

It will help paint a clearer picture of your situation and enable those best placed to advise better ;-)

      Re: Goldfish and 1st credit

Thanks for replying, if im to be honest, this was first posted on CAG and intially sent them this as im in a lot of debt and when i sent these (CCA requests) to Lowell financial for other debts, they had to go away with their tale between thier legs, and whilst not condoning debt evasion, these people had been really nasty and i took all their calls etc until i got the right advice, priciply from curlyben and others too about not talking to dca's and not blinding believing every thing they tell you!
So i sent one to goldfish for my defaulted debt to them. I got no reply, no acknowledgement, nothing, then out of blue came letter of assignment? is it that said they had sold debt to 1st credit and all dealings to be with them, i sent curlybens letter about it being in dispute and still nothing from goldfish and a reply of call this office from 1st credit.
Now i have heard bad things about them and dont want to be dealing with them really but had pointed out on other site where it is still posted that they cant chase change DCA's but the CCA 1974 says nothing about selling it?
      sorry to waffle on,
