  • Phone calls from debt collection agency for someone unknown

Ok, my sister keeps getting calls from a debt collection agency from time to time asking to speak to someone who she does not know nor has lived at her house. She has asked them for the address but they say they can only confirm it with the named person.
She is ex directory so is there any way to either tell them to stop ringing or to tell them that the person they are looking for does not live nor is known at that address?

The volume of call are not enough to warrant telephone harassment nor has anyone called nor has any letters been sent to the address.

    Any advice would be appreciated.....

      Has this DCA identified itself?
It can be stopped quite quickly with a word in the ear of someone on the top tier of the DCA.
Is the incoming callers number known?

I can clarify name of Debt Collection Agency but you reckon an email to CEO of said company might have the desired effect?

should do ... request (not so nicely) that they remove the tel. number from their database

You have already clarified them that the concerned person is not residing at the place and next time when you again receive their call, warn them for taking police action against them. This will surely help you in the process.
