  • Repayment plan passed from Arrow to Moorcroft. Can they do this?

I have been paying Arrow global for months as they proved a debt I owed. I have tody received a letter from Moorcroft saying they have taken over the administration of the account and I must contact them within 7 days to discuss my repayment proposal. The last payment to Arrow came out of my account at the begining of this month. What can I do.

Hi,Has Arrow ( debt purchaser) has assigned the debt to Moorcroft to manage and collect the payments?
Or has Arrow sold the debt on?
The Notice of Assignment will show Moorcroft " acting on behalf of" Arrow, or will state that the debt has been acquired by another company.

OK then it's Moorcroft you pay from now on.
If you have a payment arrangement with Arrow Moorcroft should honour it, so write stating plan exists with Arrow and that is what you will maintain if they provide details for making payments.

Some say ignore such letters and keep paying the " owner" of the debt, in my experience this often causes problems when it come to querying the outstanding balance, with payments not properly allocated.

Do you/have you received a statement at least annually on this account.

No, I have not ever had a statement from them but I have set up a standing order, so I know when I finish paying it.

I have just looked over paper work and feel like a fool. There was never a CCJ as there was an agreement between both myself and Arrow that I would pay token payments and a Tomlin order was drawn up and the dessicion was stayed by the court. Does this make any difference in terms of Moorcroft?
