  • BW Legal help.

    Hi there,

This is my first post in this forum but after lurking through the forums for a while, turns out I actually need specific help now!

    So, here goes.

I had a debt with a bank a while back (2013) to the tune of £1090. I didn't keep up repayments at the time (silly I know) And the debt went into default and handed to BW Legal to manage. Fast forward to May 2014 and I receive a CCJ letter, claiming that if the debt is paid within a month It wouldn't be put on my credit file. So, I paid the debt, in full, and have proof of this, within the month. I thought everything would be rosy now, its not.

I had a look at my credit file on noddle and noticed that the CCJ is still there and after numerous attempts at contacting both the county court and BW Legal i've literally gotten no where!

The county court have said they have received no word of payment from BW Legal, who have told me 3 times now that they have sent documentation to the court saying I have.

Basically, I can't now get through to BW Legal without them telling me they have sent word, and the court saying they haven't received anything from them.

Any advice on what I can do here? I've adhered to the wording of the letter and expected it to be taken off.

Thanks for your time guys, its appreciated.

    Dan.

    H Welcome

CCJ are a public recorded and stay on file for 6 years from the date of judgement.
If the court service has not received BW Legals' notification make a Formal Complaint
    to BW.

Was the claimant BW Legal or the bank?

I understand what a CCJ is, however the court letter stated that if payment was made within a month, in full, which it was. The ccj would be taken off my credit report, which it still hasn't, the letter was in request for BW Legal.
