  • Egg and Marlin

I've noticed quite a few claims issued by Marlins for Egg credit card debts.

I took out an Egg CC in 2002 and was defaulted 2009. I wrote a few letters to Egg regarding their (in)famous 'Ending Your Agreement' letter of 2008.

I heard nothing until early last year when Marlin wrote to me about a Barclaycard account (different account number and no reference to Egg). Attached was a Barclaycard letter of assignment from Barclaycard to Marlin, (again no mention of Egg). I only learned later via the internet that Barclay's had bought a ship load of old Egg accounts and can only assume mine was amongst them.

I explained to Marlin that I never had this Barclaycard account nor any account with the number they quoted. I've heard nothing since.

What are the chances this one will get up and bite me on the ass !!??
They were out to get me!! But now it's too late!!

Knowing that lot, I'd say there's a pretty good chance that you will be hearing from them just as it gets near to 6 years since you last paid anything :tinysmile_cry_t:
