  • Problems with lowell portfolio debt collectors

    Hi
I am new here so apologies if anything is incorrect. I checked my credit file as i got turned down for a mobile phone contract switch over from my partners account. I checked with Equifax and my score was 264 very poor. It was very poor on the basis of 1 debt, everything else is good. The debt in question is a credit card from Lowell Portfolio? Never heard of these people and the balance is for £404.00 and i have no clue what this is for. Would appreciate some advice on what to do? The apparent start date was 05/03/2012 and default date 31/12/2012.
    Thanks in advance
    Dani

Dunno if you have had a reply to this?

Lowlifes AKA Lowells pay pennies for old debts which include various bank debts (accounts/ credit cards) & mobile phone debts....sure they buy others IE high interest loans.
    • Firstly - write to them (its a Leeds address) Enterprise House, 1 Apex View, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS11 9BH

Ask them for a copy for your records using a SAR (subject access request) they are required to give you this by law. You can use this letter below (change as required)
    • Secondly DO NOT SIGN IT WITH YOUR OWN SIGNATURE USE A FONT FROM WORD (they have been known to copy & paste to credit agreements)
    • Then when you find out what the debt is you can then approach them and request for them to remove it, be prepared for a fight. If they protest, you need to them ask them to prove its you (signed copies of contracts)....
    • Alternatively you can approach the creditors & get them to remove it for you.
    • Or once you have the info you can write to the credit reference agencies and request they remove this if it transpires that it is not you IE name spelt wrong, wrong DOB, address you've never lived at - basically it has been added in error

Never speak to the Debt collectors over phone, as they won't speak to you without collating info IE address & DOB. Only communicate with any DCA via letter.....

Re: Problems with lowell portfolio debt collectors

For a credit card type debt, a s.78 Consumer Credit Act 1974 request is far more effective.

If they can't comply, the debt cannot be enforced.
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )
