  • Unpaid bills in another nation

I used to be in Australia (in 2012) for 5 months (Had Work and Holiday Visa) and I took one device from Virgin Mobile Australia (Pocket Wi-Fi) and it came with 2 year contract (I don't even know why they actually made this contract with me because when I was signing contract with them then I had to show my passport for them and it has Visa in but it was valid only for a year ... )
So when I left from there, I didn't paid the rest (that was the main reason + second reason was that the service was horrible and their customer support was below the average and not worth the money).
I live in Finland and I am from there. Today I got the call from Lowell Group (I didn't answer because I don't pick up foreign numbers) and when I Googled it I saw that it is debt collecting group. Obviously Virgin Australia sold my debt to them. My question is should I worry about it? What could they do to me? Juridically.

Do you own any property in the UK, or have any money in a UK based bank?

Do you plan to move to the UK at any time?

Lowell must be desperate if they taking on debts from other nations and chasing people outside of the UK and therefore outside of their regulating bodies jurisdiction - I doubt lowells are registered as a company to allow them operate in finland!?

Nope, I'm not owning any property in the UK and I don't have any money in a UK based bank and I do not plan to move to the UK, never.

One of Lowells cretins probably has no idea that Finland is actually another country.

Well, today I got an call from my local debt collector, from my nation.
Looks like they sold it for them abroad. Is that even legally correct?

                  This is odd.
My nation National Phone operator told on a press release that number 01619600200 is doing spamcalls, since 19.01.2014. Do not answer those calls , call back or SMS them.

Googled the number 01619600200 and guess what? Lowell Group...
Maybe I'm just paranoid about this unpaid thing and it was just spam call... because chasing someone because of the unpaid internet bill globally? Really?
