  • CRAPQUEST!

    Hi

Merry Christmas to all you wonderful peeps!

Well, would you believe it! Crapquest have finally responded to my CCA request (CCA request made back in August this year). The credit agreement (signature is definitely mine), terms & conditions and statements are accompanied with the following letter:

    Dear XXXXXXX

    Account No: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    Balance: £4835.86
    Our Client: Santander UK Plc

Thank you for your recent correspondence.

    Please find enclosed:

    1. Copy of Credit Agreement dated 06 November 2002
    2. Copy of Terms and Conditions
    3. Statements received from Santander

Your account remains in default and the full balance is payable. The information below relates to your account and is correct as at 24 December 2013.

    * Outstanding balance: £4835.86
    * Total amount paid to Capquest to date: £42.00
    * This account is currently not on arrangement.

Please call us on 0333 999 7200 to discuss the payment options on this account.

    Yours Sincerely, Martin Best

OK, so what to do?? My token payment is still £2 per month (and I have continued to make these payments) without fail. I am working now and all is going well but my probationary period is 26 weeks and won't be complete until spring next year (so don't want to up my repayments too much just in case). I haven't contacted Crapquest as yet and certainly won't by telephone. Any advice is gratefully receieved.

    Cheers, Toots x

    • When did you stop paying anything to Satan-Duh?
    • When did you start paying money to Crapquest?
    • Why did you start paying money to Crapquest - who told you to do that?

      Hi Clevercloggs

The token payments were originally set up through C.A.B to Santander in October 2010 (my original post on this site explains the background). Token payments of £1 were initially agreed. Santander then sold my debt to Satan sometime in 2011 who then contacted me saying that I'd stopped paying the agreed token gesture. As it worked out, it's because Capquest obviously have a different sort code blah blah. Sorted out a new standing order and upped the token gesture to £2 per month and it's been like that ever since.
