Re: Contacted by lowell - following a letter from BC solicitors

I would just get your aunt to write to them saying you had moved and she didn't know where to. No need to say she is your aunt.

On a side note I had a letter for someone who lived in my flat more than 10 years ago and it said if I was not the person named to contact them. I ignored it, got another letter and then called them. This stupid person told me off for reading someone elses mail...after saying if I was not the person

Such people are generally known by the generic title of "pillock".

So I had a brief look but couldn't make head nor tail of it. And personally I'm not sure about it, which concerns me for my brother.
      It's a load of crap.

So can I ask, (and not that I value anyone's opinion less who as been kind enough to advise) but always feel it's good to get others views, would you advise to ignore at present or send sb letter.
I'd note the date of its arrival on the envelope and file it away, along with all the threat-o-grams that will doubtless follow.

If/when they threaten to sue, you can spoil their fun by telling them it's SB.

Of the Clan of McStupid or of the Tribe of Silly Buggers?

        he destroyed his birth certificate,
Destroying his copy of a piece of paper will not alter the facts that he was born and that his birth was registered.

he's never signed on even when he hasn't worked, he refuses to pay tv licence
Not buying a TV licence is not an offence.

It is, however, illegal to have a TV receiver (or transmitter!) installed without a valid and current licence.

and has a sign displayed on his window to his home refusing access and entry (worded in legal terms)
        Oh, good.

At least the bailiffs should know that a loony lives there.

Now my brother has no loans, overdrafts, credit cards or any debt, however he also refuses to pay council tax.
In the foolish belief that he has not "contracted to or with the Council"?

I've explained to him that he could go to prison, that he's trying to fight the government, but he will not be told! I find it utterly scary, he believes that people have to make a stand.
The Council may decide to leave him alone, on the basis that every village traditionally had at least one idiot. :der:

Have you ever looked into some of this stuff.. it's crazy.
I agree; if it were not for the way that it can (and probably will) cause trouble for the mutton-heads who try it, that nonsense would be amusing.

Granted I've seen things on utube where families have stopped evictions through this,
Actually, they haven't. All they managed to do was to delay eviction for a day or two, until the bailiffs got their paperwork in order.

and various other things but you never see the end result.....besides I don't wanna live my life having to fight everyday. I already suffer anxiety.
At least you have provided proof that such arrant silliness is probably not a genetic disorder. msl:

Lol, OMG, seriously, you had me seriously cracking up! My poor brother, the guy has a heart of gold and I love him dearly...but believe me, I have tried so hard to drum into him that these things on utube only show you one event where like you said, they have delayed eviction etc. Afterall, they are not gonna put up a video of them losing. And bloody Mr gullible thinks he's found the secret law over all laws. And the websites, it's like a cult...people going to seminars, and hanging on every word! These are all conspiracy theorists I'm sure. You have to forgive my brother...until he grows out of this he may have to learn the hard way.
            Thanks for making me laugh!

And yes clevercloggs, re council tax, it is in the belief that he is not contracted to or signed as such to the council!! All of their laws are to do with not signing contracts etc.

Ahh honestly, some of the stuff I've seen, read...unbelievable!

My reply Cloggy was along the lines of "you can not be serious" although I was having difficulty getting words out as my flabber was gasted!

You are on excellent form tonight, have you been over to Yorkshire?

Might it help to tell him that the Illuminati (whom the conspiracy nuts belief want a World Government) won't dare to let anyone get away with not paying and hence the best way to beat the system is to pay in loose coinage rather than the Illuminati's corrupt paper money or script?

It means next to nothing - it is merely indicates that someone liked one of your posts.
