    Lowell, should not be contacting you at your Aunts house;
    even more reason for them not to is that she would be deemed vulnerable!

    The choice is yours but unless you want them on your back, it is not a good idea to alert them to the fact that they can contact you via your Aunt!

    You do not live there, so why respond to them!?
    Thank you, I have to agree.

    Yes, I agree, and believe me, my brother is not one who is able to explain how to use a carrier bag, let alone some of these "laws of the land" when I challenge him he quotes a website for me to read or tells me to watch a post on utube by someone or other... hardly going to work on a judge!

    I told him to come here where he could get some solid advice, his answer, "I looked at it, but I doubt follow statute law" when I say lives his life by it, I mean his whole life... he doesn't have a surname, he is "the clan of" he destroyed his birth certificate, he's never signed on even when he hasn't worked, he refuses to pay tv licence and has a sign displayed on his window to his home refusing access and entry (worded in legal terms)
    Now my brother has no loans, overdrafts, credit cards or any debt, however he also refuses to pay council tax. I've explained to him that he could go to prison, that he's trying to fight the government, but he will not be told! I find it utterly scary, he believes that people have to make a stand. Have you ever looked into some of this stuff.. it's crazy. Granted I've seen things on utube where families have stopped evictions through this, and various other things but you never see the end result.....besides I don't wanna live my life having to fight everyday. I already suffer anxiety.
    I can't tell you what to do, it's a balancing act. If the debt in question is SBd, they couldn't get a CCJ even if they issued court papers - they can still issue a claim but you would defend it and SBd is an absolute defence, so you haven't got a lot to worry about on that front even if you ignore them, as long as you can keep an eye on the post in case they do issue one (it's happened before). On the other hand, if you are really concerned about them contacting your aunt, you'll have to come clean and tell them you no longer live there, at the risk of opening a can of worms.
    Thanks so much for your advice, the debt is definitely Sb, I have no doubt about that. I will pick up letter from aunt on Saturday and speak to her. Tbh she never answers her door anyway and it's intercom so she'd tell em I don't live there.
    Thanks so much again.

    See my post above, it's up to you to decide, bearing in mind those doorstep visits are largely empty threats, it's a lot cheaper for them to send letters threatening visits than to actually send collection agents to knock on people's doors, however, on the odd occasion, they do send them, only not very often.

    My question is, do I send a SB letter from the off or do I have to go through the 3 letter process?

    You'd think the numbskulls would check the electoral roll prior to bombarding another individuals address!?

    I, personally have had a stream of letters from Lowell and their trading name firms (all in the same office of course). These letters have been are addressed to an individual who is not in residence within my home and is NOT on the electoral roll;
    I keep sending the letters back but they keep coming...

    This is the Lowell Group strategy.
    Thank you Angry Cat.

    After checking my credit report, I noticed they had done a total of 33 searches on me from Jan - July. I received nothing from them or Bryan C during the time I was living there (between May - August) and I moved out mid August....a letter from BC requesting confirmation of address was sent to my aunts end of August, beginning of September, and nothing up until now, which is from Lowell. And I am on the elec roll at my current address.

    I have to say I find this all very stressful, especially as its Lowlife 1

    I just don't want anyone turning up at my aunts house, as I said she is old....do you suggest return to sender at this point?
