Rossendales collect aka aktiv kapital port folio

Other half received a letter today... from Rossendales dated 10th October ...they say they are Professional Debt Collectors....

NOTICE OF VISIT
The usual You can avoid this action....telephone within 48 hours....Please take note that this account will not be overlooked and they intend to collect full payment.

This debt is NOW statute barred just over 6 years, so not going to let other half phone them, not going to allow them to visit, will be filing this under 'B'

Also, they give 48 hours to make arrangements, letter sent on 10th Arrived today on 14th.......hardly gives anyone time to call them, so expect a door step visit anytime then. Good job our dog loves a bark when the door bell goes.

It is not showing on Experian credit check any longer.

Yep it is close to Xmas and they are trying to raise some cash.... not here they wont.

They can huff and they can puff but they are not getting a thing...

If they were professional would they not notice this debt is statute Barred and I do not like their threatening tones when they themselves have not done their homework. Maybe bought the debt for a song and trying it on.

Nahhh letter is already binned and not wanting to start having them as a pen pal tbvh. If they come knocking at the door they wont get a good reception either as they wont have an appointment as o/h has not agreed to a doorstep visit, which is intimidation to say the least.

The debt is definitely statue barred and sadly for them they can do nothing now to recover this debt and sending threatograms wont change a thing.

Send them the get stuffed letter.

In a nutshell, "We'll break every rule in the book, but hope you don't notice and report us to the Information Commissioner's Office. We don't don't fancy getting our backsides kicked this near to Christmas, 'cos we can't afford the £500,000 fine". :grin:

Would you care to tell us a bit more, such as the nature of the debt they are attempting to collect. Rossendales are both debt collectors and bailiffs.
