  • search by lowell portfolio after mortgage AIP with halifax

hi , we have applied for a joint mortgage with halifax and have been accepted with a dip offer as expected
we check our experian report all the time and are clean hubby score 999 mine 977 never had ccj or bad debt and all bills up to date suddenly the day after lowell portfolio have done a unrecorded search on hubbys account and not on mine but it is recorded they have looked at my file also
is this what halifax does or is it just a very big coincidence that its happened the day after , is it just halifaxs way of checking everywhere for bad or unrecorded credit

need help as worried and rightly so with their reputation ( lowells i mean )

Interesting. It may be a case of mistaken identity as Lowells have been known to get it wrong and chase the wrong person. If youre certain that there are no bad debts then i dont think you have anything to worry about there.
