Hi,
sorry not sure if this is the right place to post this, do let me know if it is not.
I recently found that there is a charge on my parents house by Lloyds TSB from 1992. I have no idea what it is for or any details of the amounts etc. I spoke to Lloyds who asked me to write to C&G as they are the same company(the mortgage is with them), they wrote back and asked me to speak to the Branch, so I went in with my mum and they basically said that they could not help. The manager said he had been there since the 80's and he called head office and they did not know what to do. I left a copy of my letter with him to send in the internal post but I have had no response a month later. How are we ever supposed to find out what it is about? My father passed away recently and we wanted to ensure that the mortgage was paid off as it is due next year. I am worried that interest is accruing, but it seems very wrong that no one is giving us the details so that we at least know where we stand. Is there anything we can do?
any input would be great.
