Hi I have had a search around the forum and the internet but cannot find anything about this.
2 months ago my Arrow global debt (which was an MBNA credit card) dissapeard from my Noddle credit file. I still owed well over £1,000 but cannot remember the exact amount, and had been paying £5 a month for the past 12 months as that's all I could really afford. I signed up to Noddle so I could keep an eye on my basic credit file and see how much I still owed on various debts.
Everything else is still on there indicating how much I have paid and to be honest I only have one left with Lowell (well that shows up without the Arrow Global one) for £157.
The MBNA debt was from 2006 and around £2,200 which I would pay parts off then not have the money to afford it or move and not give my new address (naughty I know, but I went through a stage of trying to run away from my debts). In 2010 I called MBNA as I couldn't remember who had the debt and they said they didn't know and I then moved again with my work. At the end of that year I signed up for the free Experian credit report and about £6,000 worth of debt caught up with me over night, but with some help from the British Legion (as I'm ex Forces) they helpped me set up a payment plan and also get rid of debts that were statute barred. Then 12 months ago as I'd just about paid all my other debts, Arrow Global crept out of the woodwork and agreed to take £5 per month from me. They showed up on my credit file on Noddle every month, each month showing the debt reduced by £5. But then 2 months ago I checked and they had disappeared. I have just checked again and they are still not there.
My questions are does any one know why this debt or Arrow Global in particular have disappeared off my credit file when I still owed over £1,300? Does this mean they have wiped my debt, the Direct Debit still appears to be leaving my account each month. If I cancel the Direct Debit will they come after me again?
Thanks in advance,
Lee
