Hi hope someone can help?
This morning i received a text mesage from collectica asking i phone with a ref number to avoid further action.

I am unsure whether to phone as i have had no correspondence via post or my home telephone, and most off all i no debts owing.

Am i best to ignore?

Do you have any of the following -

Outstanding Court Fines?
Council Tax Arrears?
Business Rates Arrears?
Unpaid Local Authority Parking Tickets?

If it is going to be anything, it will be one of these. It would be best to find out what it is about and then come back onto this thread.

Hi thank you for ur quick reply i have non of these. I was worried with no letters of outstanding debts or fines this was a scam. I have had no letters from collectica only this text message this morning.

The message read "Contact Collectica urgently on 08448004588 ref Number........ to ensure further action is avoided.

That is why i do not want to them, ad this is the only contact from them.

I suggest using a blanked out phone number call them give the ref no when asked for name give a stupid name someone on here can make one up see if they give anything away or ignore it

Collectica need to explain how they got hold of your number and why they are pestering you. Because if they start hassling you and have no legal authority to do so, that needs to be nipped in the bud pronto.

It is best to find out what is going on. If they have made an error, which is not difficult for them, steps can be taken to correct it.

I agree with you, Wales. The OP needs to find out what is going on and, if necessary, put Collectica back in their box.

I did phone the number it was an automated sysyem and sked for a postcode. At this point i hung up. I am going to see if i get any postal communication from them.

Just an update not hadd any other form of contact since the text message so i do think it was a scam to get me to ring them
