  • Tomb it may concern

I'm the new boy,.Hi to everybody.

    My problem is this:

I win court action after 11 years.
    I'm awarded 43,00 euros costs, 57,000 damages March 10 2011. ie 100,000
I have 4,500 euros in the bank.
    Defendant doesn't pay.
Defendant is informed 8% interest per annum will ensue.
Defendant pays April 2013. ie just over 2 years interest.

    43k + 57k = 100,000 + 8% + 8% = 116,640 + 4.5k of my own money = 121,140 euros.

Solic says I owe him 5,382 for debt collection. I think defendant should pay.
However, if I have to pay the debt collection, 115,758k

Solic writes he's pleased to inform me he has a chq for 110,000k (which includes my own 4,500k)
    110,000 minus my own 4,500 = 105,500

I was originally awarded 100,000, therefore my 8% interest 1st yr + 8% interest for 2nd yr on 100,000 seems to be 5,500k.
I make it 116,640k euros total, not 105,000.

I have asked solic. for an explanation of the low interest payment by email to no avail.

He only explains what he is owed.

    Can anybody give advice.

If I've put my problem in the wrong section, please let me know.

    Hi and welcome!

Which country are you based in? Your profile says England, but you are quoting Euros and some other currency (the k after the numbers). :confused2:

Hi and welcome to Legal Beagles.

Because you are mentioning Euros, could you advise where you are and which country's courts made the award, please?

          I'm off to bed.

If there is a sort of Legal ombudsman (or similar) I can get advice from I would be grateful if someone could lead me in that direction.

          Regards

          Burlapguy.
