    That's a shame - the previous year and I believe they can't reclaim them.

      I spoke to HMRC who told me passing it to Fredericksons was an error on their part. I asked them to contact Fredericksons to tell them to stop contacting me with threatening letters and texts and now phone calls. She said she would email them and apologised. To be honest I am not really very happy about the way this has been handled. Has anyone got any advice?

        I spoke to HMRC who told me passing it to Fredericksons was an error on their part. I asked them to contact Fredericksons to tell them to stop contacting me with threatening letters and texts and now phone calls. She said she would email them and apologised.           Yes. Speak to your MP. You may be able to pursue a complaint against HMRC with the Parliamentary Ombudsman. However, you have to do this through and with the assistance of your MP. You cannot go to the PO directly.

            Get an email from them stating this before you do too much. You need written evidence.
