Re: BW LEGAL/WELCOME FINANCE - Guidance Required

Perhaps they're having difficulty locating the original? Was there nothing sent apart from the statement of account?

Any thoughts on the next step? Is singing Bros's 'I owe you nothing' down the phone a bad move???

        Thought so...

Re: BW LEGAL/WELCOME FINANCE - Guidance Required

Lowell tend to farm debts out to BW Legal for Statutory Demand action. They use Howard Cohen for court claims.

IF, BW Legal want to start a bankruptcy against you, then they will be in very severe difficulty if they plan to rely on THAT document as evidence of a debt.

Personally I'd write back stating that what they have sent does not even come close to compliance with s.78.
Also tell them not to even think of 'sending round an advisor' as you are revoking license under Common Law to visit: Template Here:
          Dear Sirs

          Ref: xxxxxxxx

Please be advised that I will only communicate with you in writing. I have noted your repeated attempts to contact me over the past few weeks and these have been duly logged by time and date. Should it be your intention to arrange a doorstep visit, please be advised that under OFT rules, you can only visit me at my home if you make an appointment and I have no wish to make such an appointment with you.

There is an implied license under English Common Law for people to be able to visit me on my property without express permission; the postman and people asking for directions etc (Armstrong v Sheppard & Short Ltd [1959] 2 QB 384. per Lord Evershed M.R.). Therefore take note that I revoke license under Common Law for you, or your representatives to visit me at my property and, if you do so, you will be liable to damages for a tort of trespass and action will be taken, including but not limited to, police attendance.
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Hmmm, yep, 'Still stuttering thanks to LABMAN' could be open to SUCH misinterpretation. Dear me...

Anyway, to update, I've today forwarded a letter in line with the above advice so hopefully it'll stave them off slightly as, frankly, I'm getting rather bored of the calls now, approx. 5 a day, from different numbers and always leaving messages. Tiresome indeed...

As per many thanks to all...:tinysmile_grin_t:

Are you keeping a diary of all the calls? If not, make sure you start one. It could be very useful evidence. :beagle:

As an addition to the help you kindly offered on the above. Well, hmmm, I've not heard from BW since early Oct & after I'd written to them. Surely a good thing....?
