  • Debt sold on when CCJ has been taken out

Hi there a few years ago I was in difficulties and got a few CCJ's. One of them was eventually sold on (Black Horse) to a DCA (The Lewis Group) but the CCJ still in place names ME as the original defendant and any money paid should go to the ORIGINAL creditor. Now as far as I know shouldn't the Lewis group apply to the Court to have the Court order amended so THEY receive the money. I understood under English law that they had to do this within one year of buying the debt or they would have ZERO right to collect it. While a CCJ doesn't expire (Statute Barred) can I at least get rid of the DCA and make some arrangement with the original creditor . I'm new at this so excuse if this seems a real "Noob" question. I really want to sort all this rubbish out before I retire so I don't have the hassle of DCA's when I'm on a Pension. This DCA has just come back at me again after at least 3 years of inactivity --things must be desperate for the DCA's now.
