    Re: New to Debt.

Hi Flaming parrot, hahahah thats the actual letter i was looking for to respond to them thanks for that.

as for the CCA request no i havent, as the debts are all after 2007 the only letters ive sent so far are the 3 that you usually start off with IE ask the creditor to accept a token payment which all the others accepted apart from vanquis so i sent them the next letter which they also refused & the 3rd to take me to court but my offer is still open, they just wont accept this offer & keep insisting i speak to them about my situation & ive sent them a letter explaining i dont wish to speak to them over the phone but to have it all down in writing but they seem to be ignoring these requests & offers until finally today they managed to actually speak to me but got absolutely no where apart from threatening me with a house visit, so i will happily send this letter to them :tinysmile_grin_t:

Vanquis almost always play hard (see post 12). I have a client and we've been in a stand off with Vanquis for nearly two years now.

Hi labman, yeah there still adding interest according to my latest statement, not sure what else to do apart from keep sending them letters with the same offer as i aint gonna suddenly change my mind & cave in to them so a stand off is inevitably until they see sense lol

              Re: New to Debt.

ive just opened my email & found this...

              Dear Mr xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

              URGENT, FINAL NOTICE!
              IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED:
Unfortunately we have not been able to contact you despite numerous attempts to do so, and have therefore very nearly exhausted the time frame in which we have to assist you in freezing the current interest on your account. We appreciate you may not want to discuss the matter over the phone but it is now a matter of urgency that you get in contact with us, either by telephone or via email.
Your account is now on the verge of being sent to a re-connect agency which may result in a visit to your home within the next 30 days to assist you in making arrangements to repay your outstanding debt. Alternatively your account may be passed to an external Debt Collection Agency where further debt collection activity will take place. To prevent either of the above happening please respond to this email or call us on 01143272213.
              Our opening hours are:
Monday to Thursday 8am to 8pm
              Friday 8am to 6pm
              Saturday 8am to 1pm

              Yours sincerely,
              Steve Belsham

                Re: New to Debt.

Let them pass it to a DCA - they're much easier to deal with and far more reasonable on the whole. In line with the OFT Debt Collection Guidelines, you are perfectly entitled to request contact be made via a particular medium - they have ignored your request. Only now are they suggesting email.

Either way, you can only afford what you can, and no judge would make you pay more than that. Don't worry, it's actually quite good news, despite initial appearances.

                  Re: New to Debt.

Hi, thought id drop in & update you all with my situation at the moment... ive been really ill of late & had no broadband for a while so was unable to update b4 now, so at the moment im still on a payment plan with all my creditors & i have no hassle off them whatsoever & its going great apart from vanquis who have still not bothered to contact me in writing about any payment plan or excepting my offer of £2 per month with my last letter to them being in august last year, i still get the phone calls off them which im still ignoring & every now again they leave a message on the answer machine stating that i need to contact them URGENTLY but ive not had one of them this year so far, so apart from vanquis every thing is going to plan, so in the meantime i have no interest in contacting them unless they actually send me a letter but so far nothing has popped through the door, which i find kinda strange even when i sent my last letter to them last year explaining my circumstances & that if we cant come to some sort of agreement then to take me to court ive had nothing back off them except a few phone calls here & there, i will update if i do eventually hear from them, but for now id just like to thank you all that have helped in the past...
