  • HFO Services...advice please!

    Hi all,

I am currently paying back an old Barclaycard credit card debt which was around £3500. I ran into financial difficulty and didn't pay for a while. I then started to get all my finances back on track and sent my debtors a letter with a repayment plan and a £1 postal order. All companies accepted except Barclaycard who added more interest onto my account and it was then sold on to HFO services.

i've been paying them £20 a month, every month for years and have not received one statement in all that time. I have no idea of the amount left to pay and from what I have read, there's no-one I can contact as the company seem to have either gone into administration or are owned by at least one other company (turnball rutherfords??)

i'm desperate not to get anything negative added to my credit report as this debt was over 6 years old and has now left the report and we're in the process of trying to obtain a mortgage but I feel disgusted that I can't access details about this debt at all. Unfortunately I have lost a lot of paperwork through moving house and don't have any paperwork regarding this debt at all.

could anyone advise me on what to do next?

    thanks in advance.

You can't be defaulted twice for the same debt. If it was me, I would stop making payments, especially as it's not obvious where the money is going.

As for HFO, you may want to look at this thread: http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...h-HFO-Services

With regards to Turnbull Rutherford, see this blog post by PT2537: http://paulatwatsonssolicitors.wordp...it-litigation/
