Hi all!! Had a bit of success with MoneyShop, they have chased me for years for a debt that was paid and have finally admitted it was their fault, they offered £90 comp I declined and they have offered to refund the rest of the admin fees i dint manage to get refunded last time around 60 and a further 85 they recieved in payments they shouldt have, so should I take the money and run or continue with FOS?? any help appreciated! £235 not bad going tho! xx

Hi BlueStar well done to sticking to your guns and getting this result :thumb:
just to make sure I'm presuming they have both admitted its their fault and offered the £235.00 in writing?
If so as I think, then if it were me I would accept the £235 and not bother with the FOS as from my experience I doubt you would get much further anyway but ultimately its your decision to make.Last edited by jet83; 21st February 2013, 20:46:PM.

Re: Moneyshop!! Success!! Help!!
I very recently was offered £200 compensation for "service failings" by Sky. This was just poor customer service, and didn't involve any monetary worries for me.
I refused the offer and asked for £400. They paid it straight into my bank account when I supplied my details.
During the investigation into my complaint they agreed they would suspend my billing until things were sorted out. I questioned this and mentioned that I would only have to pay the outstanding amount once matters were concluded. They then added a credit of £90 to my account.
So all in all, £490 compensation.
Up to you if you accept your offer but you seem to be including money you had already paid out (where you shouldn't have) and that doesn't amount to compensation, but rather an entitled refund, so deduct that from your offer before considering.
