  • 1st credit finance

Hi can anyone help, last october i was sent a letter from the local court in Derby, regarding money i owed to 1st credit, £4300.00, a debt of mine they must have taken on, i cant recall what its for, but no its mine.
They sent me an attachment of earnings form to fill out to stop it going to court, i filled this out with an offer of a monthly repayment, i got a letter back from the court saying theyd recieved it, saying adjourned with liberty to restore.
Heard nothing from them till last week when a letter was delivered to my parents house for an order to attend court for questioning, they have said failure to attend and ill be sent to prison for contempt of court, their words.
I must attend on the 7th of feb, with bank statements, self assessment forms, and all bills i pay.
I feel they have disregarded my attachment of earnings form, id rather not go to court and the threaten of arrest has worried me, can anyone advise, do i ring the court, 1st credit and make an offer of monthly payments?
    Any help appreciated.
