You need to get a formal organisation involved (I have a pretty much dormant debt charity, so I got the debts written off when I was doing much work for this and other fora). They are the ones who get permission to write to the GP / Consultant / whoever to get medical information. The medics then respond accordingly. It's clear from the forms, but does, for Data Protection reasons, need to be done by someone who is bound by the DPA.

I don't know actually it was people from the local mental health hospital. I can find out though. She is not seeing anyone even her GP - that is part of the problem i am afraid.

        Hello,

I use a bank account with no funds in it and just transfer across as necessary. I then do one off bank payments from the internet banking login. I was careful not to pay them from my "main" account which has my wages.

Assertive Outreach Teams attend patients who have enduring and, sometimes, profound mental health problems. Community Health Liaison Teams attend those patients who are either recovering from a mental health episode or have transient mental health problems. As you have found, some mental health patients do not want to have contact with their GPs or mental health professionals. This is sad because there is a lot that can be done to help them lead as normal a life as possible. Unfortunately, no-one can be forced to undergo medical treatment and, in some cases, the only way to provide a mental health patient with the treatment they need is to section them.
