Re: need a laugh/moorcroft recruitment drive
Answers 3 and 4 "earnings" seem low and they do not get travels expences, its little wonder they would try anything to get more, and if they deduct commission at source that in its self could lead to fraud. Or am I just being cynical!Never give up, Never surrender.

Re: need a laugh/moorcroft recruitment drive
If they do not collect money they do not get paid. Moorcroft have it all sewn up - send out some idiots to do the dirty work for them.

and they have to build up their own round???? how does that work lol.
Even still, you can see why doorstep collection is so appalling and falls on the thinner (or zero) end of compliance.

Re: need a laugh/moorcroft recruitment drive
They dont say full training will be given. So they take on some thugs or some idiots, they probably don't do background checks and then get them to build up a round..... therefore Moorcroft are not complying with their licence.
Originally posted by Nibbler View PostNever pondered how that works either, but I would presume that the employer's licence covers it as long and they have adequate procedures regarding training and checks?

If you look at all the CCL application forms, most of it is "describe how you will do this/that" rather than real hoops to jump through. You can see how all sorts of dodgy businesses get a licence.
I fear background checks falls down the same hole in the rubbish credit licensing system we have, but would be an interesting question to ask the OFT if no-one knows for sure.

Re: need a laugh/moorcroft recruitment drive
They dont actually tell you what percentage you have to collect to earn say commision of £80 week. How many miles you have to drive or walk to achieve this and of course they don't pay expenses, so it is basically self employment. So how many will register with HMRC for self employment - I bet none?? and these type of people go under the radar because they are either collecting dole monies or other assistance from the government so this money will not be declared for tax purposes (just my guess) Also, they don't tell you how regularly you will be paid either. Most of these type of jobs end up where they have to fight to get their money.

Re: need a laugh/moorcroft recruitment drive
True story.
Many years ago, the Thai army's basic intelligence test was to place a circular metal ring on top of the recruits head. If the would-be recruits skull protruded through the ring, they were deemed to be a cretin and rejected.
You don't suppose ... Moorcroft ... ?
