    The 6 year rule does it include phone calls as well as payment and written acknowledgement of the debt or are phone conservations an admission of the debt if one was made but nothing paid or acknowledged in writing.
    I hope someone can understand what im asking im not sure if i can LOL

      Off the top of my head, without looking it up, I'm sure the acknowledgement has to be written.

        If there has been any 6 year period during which you have not made a payment nor acknowledged the debt in writing then it is statute barred forever from the end of the 6 year period.
        They were out to get me!! But now it's too late!!

            Good advice on here as always! Stop paying and send the letter, but your wife shouldn't sign it with her usual signature, just do a squiggle or printed signature.
