  • CCJs - public domain

I have been trying to find out if there is way of getting information on all CC judgments, which I thought was in the public domain.

Am concerned to find out about how many times someone has lodged a claim and WON in the county court, but it looks like 'TrustOnline' only searches for losers (as it were!) against the specified name.

Is there a way of finding this information?
    Many thanks

County court judgements are do not set precedence in law, therefore do not become case law. Therefore only the loser that has a CCJ issued against them will show on the register i believe. No details about the case would be disclosed i suspect.

If you pay £4.00 to 'TrustOnline' and search a name, it seems it will tell you if there is a CCJ against that person, their date of birth, the date of the judgment, at which court, the case number, the amount awarded and whether it has been satisfied or not.
It does not say who applied for the judgment.
It doesn't seem possible to search for applications/ winners of County Court cases.
Not really a transparent justice system on the public record then!
Unless anyone knows another source of information?

The winner has a right to privacy in small/county court claims, the defendant does not if they are found liable unless a judge orders that they are not named.
