Its a long shot, but I would try for DWP crisis loan. You dont necessarily have to be on benefits to apply

He had the job done in 8 hours, but it was just a straight swap on the boiler with minimal pipe-work....

Do you want to send me the part number details for the deffective kit? I have a couple of contacts wholesale that will gladly look it up for you?

Hi there is a new government green scheme you can register with
There intention is to offer replacement boilers and has I gather you spread the cost with your electricity supplier its attached to your house not you with no credit check etc
Thus when you move on the new occupant carries on paying for the boiler because in theory they should be paying less for bills if you get what I mean look it up here
            www.greendealgb.co.uk/new-boilers.html is there web page
            Hope you get on ok

                  Steve....

I would suggest phoning Halstead direct and asking them if the burner is listed with a different part number for other boilers, indeed other makes. You may find that the same burner fits other boilers or even other manufacturers. A lot of these parts are mass-produced (in Italy) and shared between different models. Halstead technical will let you know if it has different part numbers.... just be persistent with them and ask loads of questions! Most of these tech numbers guys are great as they just want to chat!!! Try starting with football

I just had to repeat that. I don't do football - I'm strange like that. But this SOOOO makes sense !!!

PS. I'm NOT taking the p1$$. It really makes sense to me.
