hi all! ive just been to my mil's and she informed me that someone has basically posted something through her door today ( i have scanned it to my computer but have no idea how to work photobucket)
the letter basically is all in different colours and has no reference number or anything. basically says that the police and magistrates court enforcement officers have called to arrest her for non payment of fines and then gives a contact number so she rang the number (central finance unit) and it said if you want to speak to marstons press 1 if not press 2 so she pressed 2 spoke to a woman who then apparently rang the co to make sure that they didnt want to keep 'warrent in place incase she misses any repayment' apparently she set up an agreement to pay in both 2009 2010 and 2011 she has no recolletion of any of this she said someone did come once and she she explained there mustve been a problem with her direct debit and that was why her tv licence wasnt paid from what i can gather she rang the bank there and then infront of person and this was all sorted but this seems to be where this apparent tv licence fine has come. She has now rang these people nd paid 50 pounds and agreed to pay £10 a month til its paid off the fine is for 125 pounds! ive told her to ring back whoever she spoke to and find out who issuing court is of this so called warrent and fine as ive got to be honest what has been posted looks like something anyone could print off and post. on the bottom it has hmcs logo and also devon and cornwall constabulary logo ( as this is where we are from) i wish i could upload the letter so u would have a better idea of what im talking about usually militant does thaat for me when im dealing with my dcas!
any advice greatly welcomed this just not seem right to me it may be that she does have a fine but she has received no notice or anything about it!
