  • Lowell and Vodaphone

Just after a bit of advice really
Due to circumstances my business partner left me in a bit of a financial mess which resulted in me entering into a IVA (protected test deed )
I had an unpaid Vodaphone bill for £257 which included an early termination fee of£161
i have recently started getting letters from Lowells threatening all types of legal action as they have purchased the debt

What should I do with this ?

    Any help gratefully appreciated

Why was the debt not included in the IVA?

were you aware of the term fees before you cancelled the contract? By which I mean did the company say to you, if you cancel now you will incur termination fees? It seems an odd question, but it is bad practise to add them without warning. I'm pretty sure they have to tell you or you can claim the term fees back.

Have a chat to the OR. Ask for their advice, but be prepared for the question I asked.
